Library Love | March

lib headerI’ve been wanting to share some library hauls on the blog, since I don’t include them in my monthly wrap-ups. I go through phases where I use the library A LOT and phases where I forget it exists somehow. Whenever the mood strikes, I’ll share what I’m working on from the library during any given month. I haven’t done one of these since November so I thought it was time… since I go crazy every time!

checked out

Don’t You Wish by Roxanne St. Clair | I saw this one on the shelf and grabbed it without thinking. I first was confusing it with another book, but quickly realized this was also on my TBR! So, no harm, no foul. I’m obsessed with parallel life books in every single form, so you could say I’m excited to check this one out.

My Not So Perfect Life by Sophie Kinsella | I requested this book ASAP once I saw some great reviews roll in. I used to love Sophie Kinsella but haven’t read one of her books since like 2013 or 2014. I actually just finished this one (I started it the same day I picked it up from the library lol) and LOVED it.

The Last of August by Brittany Cavallaro | I really enjoyed the first book in the Charlotte Holmes series and have been anxiously awaiting this release! I hope it improves on the story and addresses some of the “issues” I had with the characters in book one. I’ve been really into mystery books lately and these kind of make me want to look into some of the more traditional Sherlock Holmes-esque ones! (And retellings, like these.)

Good and Cheap by Leanne Brown | I grabbed this cookbook on a whim because obviously eating good AND cheap is high on my to-do list. I always tell myself I’m just stopping at the grocery store for meats each week, but end up buying way more instead. I hope there are some good cheap recipes in here to check out!

Rules of the Road by Joan Bauer | Not pictured. I read another Joan Bauer book that I loved in middle school (in one sitting!) so I felt the need to request another by her ASAP for all the feels. I remember loving this one (and I think I read the second book?) so I’m excited to see how it holds up.

on holdBlood of Wonderland (Queen of Hearts Saga #2) The Hate U Give

Blood of Wonderland by Colleen Oakes | The first book in this series wasn’t perfect by any means, but it absolutely left me wondering what the hell was going to happen next! It was super addicting even though nothing was happening. I have no idea how. But in any case – I made sure to request this one!

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas | I’m happy to see that this is on SO many people’s TBR lists! I made sure to request it ASAP from the library but can see someone beat me to checking it out 😉 It feels like such an important book. I love that it made the bestseller list so quickly.

  1. My library phases usually happen in the summer once classes end and I move back home and have access to my hometown library that I used to work in when I was in high school. When I was younger I used to go every week during the summers and check out stacks and stacks of books…. I had so much time to read! 🙂

  2. I was just searching for my library card last night! I haven’t been able to visit my library in years but I really want to sign up for overdrive so I can try out audiobooks!
