It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with book covers. I love the colors, the typography, the different designs that cover artists can create. I even have a guest post feature where people share their favorite book covers and bookmarks! I decided to start up this random feature where I draw color inspiration from my favorite book covers. I may create an outfit, pick out some nail polish, or design a quote graphic.

Today’s cover is… The Secret of a Heart Note by Stacey Lee

I love this cover so much. It made me INCREDIBLY excited for the book (of course the premise/summary didn’t hurt too!). I enjoyed it (a bit less than expected, but that’s probably my fault) and had to highlight it here. The cover is very springy with all of the flowers, so I couldn’t resist using the floral prints and colors in a few different outfits. Floral print is my FAVE. You can tell by the millions of things below.

  1. I love this cover so much! I also didn’t like the book as much as I wanted to. I love the outfits! Especially the last one.

  2. I LOVE this! Such an interesting way to talk about a book without just a straight review! I have not read The Secret of a Heart Note but I may very soon! Plus I’m a sucker for anything floral 😉

  3. I love these so much! <3 I actually just got this book, and I can't wait to read it. The cover is so springy! I am also obsessed with floral prints (as evidenced by all my clothes ever). I loooove that first outfit!

  4. Oooh my goodness, I am in LOVE with the colors in this book, and the outfits you chose are PERFECT! They match both the colors AND the feel of the story! I love when a light blue and a deep pink get together- a match made in heaven, tbh 😉

  5. I love the colour combo from this book, but am not a fan of the design of the cover. It’s something I would probably pass by. Just not my thing.
