BL headerThe Bookmark Lit Bulletin wraps up the last month in reading and what was on the blog, as well as what’s coming up next. You can check out my book haul, books read, posts shared, challenge updates, etc. You can read past bulletins here. If you’re looking for more personal updates, you can check out my Lauren Lately feature; it highlights my life events and non-bookish fun from the previous 30 days.

I was sure keep up the general butt-ness of my reading life in September. I do *know* that this happens in September because I typically spend more time out and about, with friends and family, and taking trips to celebrate all the good things September brings for me. Not mad about it! Because of Contemporary-a-thon though, I WAS able to make a good push right at the end of the month to ensure I didn’t totally blow it. I technically only finished one book during the readathon, but I started two others and actually finished them both the day after the readathon, aka the last day of the month!

My recent personal / life update found in the last Lauren Lately HERE.

Also, ICYMI on Twitter, I’ll be doing biweekly Lauren Lately posts now because I really enjoy writing about my life. I also feel like writing one big post per month gets a little crazy for me and I’m always pushed for time, so writing two smaller posts will break it up really nicely I think.

September: Read whatever the hell I want ✔
October: Read seasonal books / focus on challenges

I did a decent job of reading whichever books I wanted during my birthday/anniversary/engagement (!!) month, but not as MANY books as I wanted. I really didn’t beat myself up over it too much because it was a month filled with friends, family, fun, etc. So, successful overall. For October, I plan to focus on my challenge progress and read some good seasonal stories. For me, there will be a couple spookier books (not many!) but more retellings and fantasy-ish books than usual.

Summer Bucket List Update | Yes, I didn’t post this last month because I finished my lobster rolls list on 9/30. Whoops. Still kinda counts right??

Lauren Lately / Five on Friday | I spoke a bit this a little bit in a few spots, but I’m going to start adding more personal posts (consistently) on the blog. It’ll probably be 2-3 bookish posts per week and 1-2 personal posts. Each Friday, I’ll be alternating between a Five on Friday or Lauren Lately post. If there’s nothing new to report, I’ll skip it for the week. NBD!

Final Push for Challenges | As usual, I am now realizing how little time there is to finish off my challenges for the year. There will be a “TBR” and challenge push post coming in October so I can reference it when I need to get my shit together.

Check out my October TBR post! ?
