Comfort Reads Authors
Top Ten Tuesdays were started by The Broke and the Bookish and are now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, where we make lists of our top ten books (or something else!) based on that week’s prompt. I don’t really reread books that often so it’s hard to decide on comfort reads for me. There are definitely books that made me feel cozy or comfortable, but I think it’s easier to cover comfort AUTHORS for this one. There are certain authors where I know I’ll enjoy the book and have a good reading experience. Reading their books is like coming home. Here are some books by these authors.
Annie Rains / Sarah Dessen / Taylor Jenkins Reid
Morgan Matson / Emery Lord
Lauren Layne / Christina Lauren
Emily Henry / Elle Cosimano / Rachel Lynn Solomon
You’d find a lot of these authors on any lists I’ve written about favorite authors or auto-buy authors, but there are some new ones on here too. For example, I don’t think I could count Elle Cosimano as a favorite author because she’s only written two books in one series so far, but I know whenever I pick up a Finlay Donovan book, I’ve loved it and felt immediately like I was coming home… even just after two books! Many of these are easy read authors like Christina Lauren or Lauren Layne – not necessarily authors I’d call my favorites, but I know their books will be enjoyable and easy.
