Cozy Fall TBR (if I Wasn’t in a Reading Slump)
Some of my favorite reading usually takes place in the fall… says a girl who also loves reading outside during the summer or by the fire and Christmas tree in the winter. I guess I usually just love reading during all seasons. BUT the fall is fun because it’s perfect for starting to get into some light fantasy, turn my mystery/thriller summer beach reads into something a little darker for the autumn, and start to think about my EOY/seasonal TBRs. There are more and more books coming out with obvious “fall vibes” since the success of The Pumpkin Spice Cafe last year and I’m here for it, especially when they promise Gilmore Girls settings (a show I strongly dislike but can appreciate the vibe of due to its Connecticut setting and small town). I’m struggling with a bit of a reading slump right now where I spent each night watching sports and scrolling on my phone instead, so this fall TBR is more like a “books I would love to read this fall but likely will not get to because I can’t focus on books to save my life.” Hopefully it helps me when I’m trying to figure out what I want to read next, and maybe it will even motivate me to get more shit done.
