September TBR

Posted September 1, 2021 / Book Lists, Features, TBR Lists / 0 Comments

My monthly TBR feature here shows my progress based on last month’s TBR, my plans for this month, and anything else I might be thinking about from a reading perspective. Sometimes I feature a little poll at the bottom so you guys can help me figure out a certain title I should read from a group of books.

September TBR

August, again, was terrible. I was somewhat busy but honestly it’s mostly just that I don’t prioritize reading. I got super into some new podcasts and listened to very little on audio. I only managed to read 7 books in August because THREE were cookbooks.

Currently Reading

Rule of Wolves (King of Scars, #2) The Intuitive Eating Workbook: Ten Principles for Nourishing a Healthy Relationship with Food

I am somehow still reading RULE OF WOLVES although I’m pretty sure “reading” is a strong word, since I’ve only read 2-3 chapters since the last time I wrote about this here. I do genuinely need to make a commitment to reading a chapter a day (or listening to an audio chapter) until it’s done. I’m also still working through THE INTUITIVE EATING WORKBOOK because it’s a little repetitive after reading the full book and working in my group coaching. It’ll get done eventually and be a quick boost to my reading numbers when it happens.

Physical/Owned Books

Arsenic and Adobo (Tita Rosie's Kitchen Mystery, #1) Donuts and Other Proclamations of Love

These are holdovers too, whoops. I got ARSENIC AND ADOBO in my recent BOTM package and it’s been sitting there! I’m excited to read it but I’ve been Kindle-addicted lately. I also got DONUTS AND OTHER PROCLAMATIONS OF LOVE from Laura (the author’s agent) and I’m so excited to finally have another book by Jared Reck in my hands!

Review Copies
Already published:

The Invisible Husband of Frick Island The Road Trip Of Princes and Promises (St. Rosetta's Academy, #) Snapped (Playbook, #4) The Royals Next Door

I’ve got a lot of random backlist books that I was excited to request and read but haven’t gotten to yet because my reading has been so spotty. I hope to get to any of these next month still – mostly leftovers from August. THE ROYALS NEXT DOOR came out 8/31 so at least I’m not too late there!

Upcoming:

Wish You Were Gone Where There's a Whisk

I’m trying really hard to not get into 2022 releases yet (!!!) and these are both later in 2021. I’ve been really in a thriller mood lately so WISH YOU WERE GONE is a likely read for me, especially because I love Kieran Scott. WHERE THERE’S A WHISK seems super cute and up my alley for the next month perhaps!

Audiobook Options

My Contrary Mary (Mary, #1) One Last Stop

I went through another big podcast phase over the past couple of months but there are a few audiobooks on Scribd I would love to get to at some point soon. ONE LAST STOP has been on here before and I never got around to it. MY CONTRARY MARY is the series-starter for another fun series by a trio of authors I’ve come to love. That’d be a fun audiobook to get into.
