April TBR

My monthly TBR feature here shows my progress based on last month’s TBR, my plans for this month, and anything else I might be thinking about from a reading perspective. Sometimes I feature a little poll at the bottom so you guys can help me figure out a certain title I should read from a group of books.

March Progress

Starry Eyes Legendary (Caraval, #2) Jackaby (Jackaby, #1)  Down Among the Sticks and Bones (Wayward Children, #2)

Not bad for March! I managed to read two library books (even though technically I did the audio for DATSAB instead of reading the actual book), two egalleys, and my book club selection. I would have gone deeper into some of the other books on my list but I was distracted by the new and shiny OBSIDIO library hold that came in way sooner than expected. Oh well! I also DNFed NO FILTER.

On Deck for April

Books with Due Dates – Library & Book Club

 Beastly Bones (Jackaby, #2)

The Chaos of Standing Still by Brody | The Case for Jamie by Cavallaro
The Wedding Date by Guillory | Book Club: Beastly Bones by Ritter

I ended up listening to some of the library books I had checked out via audio, which was a cheat-y way to get them out of here, but at least I did! These are my current books. I’ve already started reading and listening to THE CHAOS OF STANDING STILL, and will definitely get to the other two later this month before they’re due back. Also, BEASTLY BONES is our book club pick for later this month!

Egalleys

The Elizas All That I Can Fix

The Elizas by Shepard | All That I Can Fix by Chan

THE ELIZAS and ALL THAT I CAN FIX are the two books publishing next, so they’re top priority egalleys. I don’t plan on reading as many this month because I’m trying to catch up on the backlist books on my shelves. Most of my galleys are “due” sometime in May or after, so I would just be getting ahead of myself at this point. We’ll see!

From My Shelves

Pick and read 3-4 books from these stacks

I’ve made it a goal to read 3-4 books from my shelves each month between now and when I move. It seems like a lot, to be honest, because I’m trying to read only 10 books each month to begin with. It’s daunting to pull that many from the shelf to read! I have a feeling some of the top options for Aprill would be SHUFFLE REPEAT, SHE REGRETS NOTHING, TWIST, and MORE THAN WE CAN TELL. I also hope to narrow down the stacks by bringing 2-3 books home to skip out on.

  1. Thanks to grad school I really don’t get to read any books of my choice right now, but I did make time for Obsidio! It was very good. I want to read The Wedding Date really bad. I think I saw that one mentioned on your blog at some point and have wanted to read it every since. Happy Reading!
