May TBR

Posted April 29, 2019 / Book Lists, Features, TBR Lists / 5 Comments

My monthly TBR feature here shows my progress based on last month’s TBR, my plans for this month, and anything else I might be thinking about from a reading perspective. Sometimes I feature a little poll at the bottom so you guys can help me figure out a certain title I should read from a group of books.

April Progress

As Kismet Would Have ItThe Cottage on Rose LaneThe Dating Game
The Manic Pixie Dream Boy Improvement ProjectYou Owe Me a MurderFumbled (Playbook, #2)There's Something About Sweetie

I definitely was successful in reading only ARCs in April, but I didn’t get as much reading done a I usually might. I managed to get my book club choice done as well as some backlist/already published ARCs. I did a buddy read of ROSA with Nick and it was great! Overall, solid month of sticking to the TBR despite not reading as many books in general.

Other TBR Business

Monthly Motif: One Sitting Reads – I’ll be reading at least two comics in the SAGA series this month, unless I manage to read another book or two in one sitting! One will also count for my Picky Pledge, because I’m pretty sure I bought one of them myself.

Picky Pledge: I have quite a few options for this month. It’s looking like it might be an installment in the SAGA series, as well as EMERALD GREEN. I own this book as a physical copy but will also be mixing in the audiobook throughout the month, which is why you’ll see it above.

Spring Bingo: I have three prompts left for Spring Bingo and I realized I can make it work easily by moving some things around. I have my 2019 debut as AGAIN, BUT BETTER (instead of ROSA – that’s for water on the cover now), weapon on the cover for THE DEVOURING GRAY (tiny sword in the woods), and a book I own as EMERALD GREEN (or really any physical book I read).

I am so excited for Again, But Butter so I’m excited to hear your thoughts on it. I’ve honestly seen some mixed reviews, but I think it sounds great. Happy reading!

  2. 9 books is still great! I really like how detailed you get with your TBR planning and how well you are able to stick to it! I just finished Only Ever Her last night. I won’t say anything about it now. I like going into a book almost completely blind. I hope you enjoy it!

  3. Romanov sounds really good and so does Only Ever Her! Sadly I haven’t heard the best things about Again, But Better! I’m kind of hesitate of picking it up! I hope you have a great reading month!! =)
