quoteWWW Wednesdays are hosted by Should Be Reading, where we answer three questions each week: What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What are you planning to read next?

currently reading

One Past MidnightThe Maze Runner (Maze Runner, #1)I took a break from the Gallagher Girls reread (since I messed up my requests at the library) and finally started The Maze Runner! I just hit the 50% mark this morning and am really enjoying it so far. I like it because I have no clue what’s going on – just like the main character. He’s finally starting to get going with the actual maze running, so I’m excited to see what happens in the second half of the book. Chris and I are trying to see it on Tuesday so I’m hoping to do a little more listening than usual to finish it up soon. I just finished my previous book last night and haven’t technically started my next read (One Past Midnight) yet. I have it with me at work so hopefully I can get some done before the Ho-Ho-Ho Holiday Readathon starts tomorrow! I totally didn’t realize it was coming up that quickly. I’ve been looking forward to One Past Midnight for months and can’t believe I put it off for so long. I’m hoping to make some decent progress before I pause my reading.

finish readingCross My Heart and Hope to Spy (Gallagher Girls, #2)White Hot Kiss (The Dark Elements, #1)yolo (Internet Girls #4)I finished the second Gallagher Girls book, Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy. Yet again, totally didn’t remember anything that happened in it! I’m excited to keep going now that I have the correct audiobooks out from the library. I think I’m more Team Josh than Team Zack, and luckily I have no idea what ends up happening with the rest of the series and her boy choices. I FINALLY finished White Hot Kiss. Lately I’ve been finishing books within 2-3 days, but this one took me over a week. I had to take a break to read something different in between. White Hot Kiss was interesting and very unique, but I ended up getting bored halfway through. I was never in the mood to read it. However, I took a break and read Yolo in between – and it definitely helped! Once I picked up White Hot Kiss again, it picked up and was much more interesting. I’ll probably read the second book sometime within the next few weeks. Yolo was a great, quick read for in-between. I missed those characters! Lauren Myracle wrote a follow-up to the original Internet Girls series seven years after the books were released. It was cool to see them grow up and be in college. I wish it ended with a little more closure, but I would LOVE for her to write another book! I’d like to see these girls through college.

Dash & Lily's Book of DaresPanicI set out to read Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares and maybe 1-2 other books on my holiday TBR for the Ho-Ho-Ho Holiday Readathon. I was planning on doing more, but I want to save some holiday reads for December too! I’ll have to figure out a way to read AND review them in December, so I’m not reviewing Christmas books in January. After The Maze Runner audiobook is finished, I’ll be continuing my break from the Gallagher Girls to listen to Panic. I requested the audio from the library a few weeks ago and it finally became available for me. I’m hoping I can get through it quickly before it ends up being due back. We’ll see! Otherwise, my next few weeks will be full of library books I checked out and need to read! I have to get that pile under control and try to read them before buying new books. That’s my current biggest issue!

  1. Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares is the perfect holiday book! For some reason I picked it up in June because I guess I was going into Christmas withdrawal… Regardless I enjoyed it and I’m sure you will too!
