Bout of Books 16 Wrap-Up

Bout of BooksBout of Books is coming to an end late tonight, so here’s my big wrap-up post. Check out my original sign-up and TBR options or look at the daily progress I made if you want specifics.

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 9th and runs through Sunday, May 15th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 16 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team

Goal: Read ARCs and required reading books (3-6)

I did well! I was hoping to read between three and six books during this challenge. I was reading a lot of books at the same time, so it was nice to finally start finishing a few of them off. My total numbers for Bout of Books are below, as well as the books I ended up reading for this challenge.

Goal: Read 60% ARCs during the month of May

We’re at the halfway point for the Clean Sweep ARC Challenge, so I figured I would add this on the end of my Bout of Books wrap-up. I haven’t really read a lot of ARCs so far this month because I’ve had a few exciting new releases and library books come into my possession! The good thing is that the second half of the month can and WILL be filled with ARCs. (One of the books below is technically an already published book but the review copy was sent from the publisher for a blog tour, so I’m totally counting it.) Also, I’m at a 44% ARC rate right now, which is very close to my goal of 60% already. I just need to keep this rate up.

  1. You rocked it! I barely participated in Bout of Books because of BEA. I am doing the clean sweep challenge as well… so far I have only read one ARC. I still have a little over a week left! Hopefully I will read through at least two more. We shall see. It’s hard when all the pretties come in at the library and with the books from BEA.
