My Bookmark Collection

I’ve been thinking about writing this post for a long time. I’m a huge collector of bookmarks and believe you can never have too many! I like to collect them from all the bookstores I visit and different places I travel. It’s so fun to look back at my collection and see where they all came from. I’ve been buying more on Etsy lately for certain fandoms and books that I love, so my collection has grown a lot! I finally got around to organizing them and taking some pictures, so here they are for your viewing pleasure! I’m sure some are missing (I can picture one or two that I have no idea where they are lol) but it’s the vast majority of them. I’m going to discuss where some are from and link to the appropriate websites if I can find them and remember.

Bookish

These ones all feature books or bookish quotes in some capacity! The READ one is from my local library. The yellow bookstack is from Emily Cromwell Designs. I can’t remember where the white book one comes from, which is a shame because it’s so cute! The same could be said for the wooden book quote and black book qoute ones – I think they were either gifts or came from a bookstore. The blue book/coffee one is new and from Gigi and Bo. The wooden engraved one is from Marked By Mary. The blue book quote on the bottom is from Novelly Yours, one of my favorites!

Book-Specific

This next huge group are specific to certain books – some were freebies from publishers and others were purchased or gifted. The top seven bookmarks are all from Scintillare and I love them (some Abby Jimenez, Christina Lauren, and Sarah Adams up there). Publisher freebies include the ones for ACOTAR, CLYTEMNESTRA, and BROKEN HOMES & GARDENS. Another freebie came from the Abby Jimenez event I went to and features the five animals/dogs from her books (yellow with hearts). I got a wooden one about the ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS companion series – that may have been a gift but it has @lillytales on the bottom so I know that’s where it came from. I have two Harry Potter bookmarks still hanging around – one watercolor from somewhere I don’t remember and another super old one from probably the early 2000s. There are three matching bookmarks in the middle there with quotes from PAPER TOWNS. And finally, the caterpillar one is of course from Eric Carle and I bought it at the museum up in Mass!

Bookstores

I love collecting bookmarks from the bookstores I visit! Some of these are also online purchase freebies. As you can clearly see on most of them, these are bookmarks from: The Hickory Stick Bookshop in Connecticut, Oblong Books in New York, The Strand (I have another Strand one somewhere…) in NYC, Talk Story on Kauai, Barnes and Noble, Mainely Murders Bookstore in Maine, BOTM, Powell’s Books (two) from wherever they are (ordered online from there once), Northshire Bookstore from Vermont, RJ Julia from Connecticut, and a library bookmark. I am totally missing some but I couldn’t tell you where they are right now – probably stuck inside books from when I purchased them there!

Cloth

As you can see, I’ve been addicted to collecting the cloth book corner bookmarks from Happy Go Lovely Sleeves (and her book sleeves too!). I have two other cloth bookmarks here (double sided) from Bookishly Vintage that I’m obsessed with.

Fandom

These books all represent some kind of fandom I’m in (basically movies and TV shows). A couple of these (Friends door and Barbie) are also from Gigi and Bo. I think the Friends (cast picture) bookmark was a gift or purchased at a bookstore. The Toy Story 3 one is super old and also purchased somewhere at some point. The three Lego bookmarks were either gifts or purchased at a Lego convention at some point. I don’t remember at all where the High School Musical one came from but it’s an old favorite from years ago! The Sailor Moon watercolor quote came from Behind the Pages but they’re no longer selling on Etsy.

Aesthetics & Seasonal

I got the three adorable summery bookmarks at the top left from Poppy and Paper.  The ice cream bookmark at the top and the little fairy one at the bottom are both from my local library. The three on the top right (lemons, flowers, and strawberries) are all from Gigi and Bo. I don’t know where the seahorse one is from but I’m fairly positive I picked it up when traveling somewhere. The Christmas “Merry and Bright” bookmark is from Emily Cromwell Designs. I have another Christmas one from her as well as some under the “Book Lovers Lane” theme she does but I can’t seem to find them… The heart jar was made by me! I bought the Celtic looking one from my favorite bookstore, The Book Barn in Niantic, CT. The wooden feather is another from Marked by Mary.

Travel

As I said, I like collecting bookmarks when I travel – that doesn’t just mean from bookstores! I got a few of these myself when heading to various places (Acadia National Park, Woodstock NY, and Maui). The Blarney Castle bookmark was a gift from my Secret Sister at some point years ago!

Music and Childhood

I don’t have a ton in these categories so I lumped them together. I recently bought a few music-related bookmarks. The Harry Styles photo strip came from PD Digital Planner. The tracklist bookmarks for 1989 by Taylor Swift and Harry’s House by Harry Styles both came from Yellow Daisy Boutique (which doesn’t appear to be there anymore?). The Taylor Swift album name bookmark is from JitterStickers. The bookmarks on the right are older bookmarks from my childhood essentially – Flower Fairies, Pooh, and a teddy bear bookmark that came from a birthday card.

Fun Formats

I went through a magnetic bookmark phase and bought a ton from Crafted Van, but they’re not pictured here. I think the Tinkerbell one came from them years ago but they don’t do that type anymore. The coffee ones were a gift from a friend. The mushrooms are from my sister – she gave me them this month for my birthday.
