Merry Christmas! (including Christmas Song Book Tag)

My favorite day of the year is here! I love Christmas so much. Realistically, I love the few days before Christmas more than the actual day itself… because once today is here, it’s over. I hope you’ve enjoyed all of the holiday reviews I’ve been sharing over the past month and added a few to your TBR. I wanted to say Merry Christmas if you celebrate, share THE ONLY holiday song you need, and also partake in the Christmas Song Book Tag (below the video)! And there are some pics of my Christmas decorations, if you care about that kind of thing.

Anna and the French Kiss

This book is, first of all, one of my all-time favorites. Secondly, Anna is away from home studying in Paris. I loved the setting because I’ve never been there! It made me want to book a flight right away.

Xander+Caymen from The Distance Between Us
by Kasie West

Another all-time favorite. Kasie West writes the BEST contemporary romances that are usually full of banter. The combination of Caymen’s sarcasm and Xander’s entire personality just made the best couple I could have asked for. Endless banter. LOVE.

Harmonic
by Erica O’Rourke

This novella is set in the Dissonance series, before the first and second books. I loved it because it featured Del’s sister, who was dealing with her own drama. It was about 100 pages long, which is a perfect novella length, and it felt like a real fleshed-out story. So happy it exists!

Forever, Interrupted
by Taylor Jenkins Reid

I recently posted my TTT with books I want Santa to bring me, and this is definitely on there. I loved the one book I read by TJR and absolutely ADORE the cover redesigns. I’m in the process of collecting the three redesigned covers and this will be the second, as long as Santa comes through 😉

Before I Fall
by Lauren Oliver

I feel like I always pick the same books when asked for a book that made me cry, so I went with a different one this time! I loved this story SO much and definitely plan to reread before the movie (!) comes out. It made me tear up a bit towards the end. GAH.

My True Love Gave to Me
by Stephanie Perkins and others

I just loved the mix of stories in this book! I was always eager to read whichever one was coming up next. I was hoping to reread this winter but didn’t get around to it. Some stories were misses for me, but most of them were very cute and worthy of rereading.

Shadowlands trilogy
by Kate Brian

This was not an easy choice. I’ve enjoyed quite a few trilogies in my day, but this one was just SO unputdownable that I neeeeeded to discuss it again. I sat and binge-read the three books in a matter of two and a half days. Mystery and intrigue and suspense and excellence. 

Matt Finch from Open Road Summer
by Emery Lord

I’m not usually a fan of musicians, but GOD MATT FINCH. He was pretty much the reason I loved this book as much as I did. If we got snowed in together, I’d just let him sing to me the whole time. That’s really the only reason I’d choose him as my partner. Giiiiimme.

Things We Know By Heart
by Jessi Kirby

I wanted to read this book the minute I saw the cover. And then the minute I read the synopsis. I was so so disappointed in this one. I didn’t feel any connection to anyone and hated the drama involved. It was a very typical situation where someone avoids the truth for too long. Sad.

P.S. I Like You
by Kasie West

I feel like I shouldn’t have two books by the same author on here, but whatever. This is another category I always pick the same book(s) for, so I switched it up. Any new release by Kasie West is automatically at the top of my omg-gimme-right-now list. This one is definitely no exception.
