I created this Library Love series on my blog so I could share current checkouts from the library as well as some of the books I have on hold, hopefully coming into my greedy hands as soon as possible. I thought it would be fun to bring it back around since it’s been so long!
I currently have THE COUSINS and VANESSA YU’S MAGICAL TEA SHOP checked out. I read the first one already and haven’t returned it yet lol but the latter is still on my TBR! I’m hoping to get to it very soon.
I have a super small town library so the VAST majority of these books are requested through interlibrary loan. That’s why so many are a certain position out of a large number of books. Even when I’m hold #3 on 6 books, for example, I still usually have a while to wait for whatever reason. Here are the books in my queue!
A VOW SO BOLD AND DEADLY by Brigid Kemmerer
January 2021 – Hold #3 on 6 copies
The first two books here have been on hold the longest. I’ve really enjoyed the Cursebreakers series so far and am really excited to read the final book. I’m annoying in that I prefer to own all the books or none of the books (sometimes I’ll buy an ebook depending on price), so I’ve decided to just get this installment from the library.
ACROSS THE GREEN GRASS FIELDS by Seanan McGuire
January 2021 – Hold #1 on 14 copies
I haven’t seen this installment on Scribd yet – usually I read these via audio when I need something quick to listen to for a small road trip or something. I like these books but they aren’t all-time favorites like most people. Exploring the new worlds and doors is what I enjoy! I’m hopeful an audiobook will come soon/first but we’ll see.
INFLUENCE by Sara Shepard
January 2021 – Hold #2 on 17 copies
I make it a point to read all of Sara Shepards new releases – there are some super old backlist ones I haven’t gotten to yet, but all of her new books get read at some point! I was browsing my library list and decided to request this one, since I haven’t seen it elsewhere like Scribd or Hoopla yet.
THE EX TALK by Rachel Lynn Solomon
January 2021 – Hold #9 on 11 copies
I read my first book by Rachel Lynn Solomon last year and LOVED IT. Many people have recommended her newest release so I decided to put in a request. I would love to read this sooner but as usual my TBR is out of control, so being number 9 on the hold list is probably better for planning my reading.
THIS IS NOT THE JESS SHOW by Anna Carey
February 2021 – Hold #3 on 10 copies
I’ve been super eager for this book since it was announced, I think! It’s got major Truman Show vibes and I’ve featured it a time or two on the blog. I was also hoping this one would be digitally available somewhere like Hoopla or Scribd but I haven’t seen it yet. Hopefully it comes quickly through the library!
FINLAY DONOVAN IS KILLING IT
February 2021 – Hold #8 on 10 copies
I’m loving the new style of mystery books lately – cozy mysteries and this kind of fun rom-com-looking style of this book. I’ve seen good reviews so far but it’s a relatively new release. I hope this one comes through soon too but who knows!
THE SURVIVORS by Jane Harper
February 2021 – Hold #67 on 36 copies
Woof, this is the toughest one on my list in terms of waiting. I’m not surprised because it seems like one of those buzzed-about new releases that a ton of casual readers and avid readers would want to read. I’ve been into the adult mystery/thrillers lately so I thought I would add this to my list and see what happens.
THE HEART PRINCIPLE by Helen Hoang
August 2021 – Hold #3 on 4 copies
Am I ridiculous for requesting this book in February when it doesn’t come out until August? Yeah, probably, but you can see that I’m hold THREE out of the four copies being bought in the library system so far. Two other people are just as crazy as I am! There’s a really good chance I buy these books to own the whole series and then preorder/buy this one too, but I thought I may as well get myself on the list ASAP.
