TTTimageTen Books on my Fall TBR

Top Ten Tuesdays are hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, where we make lists of our top ten books (or something else!) based on that week’s prompt. The topics are provided ahead of time and can be found here. Book links bring you to Goodreads or my review.

This week’s TTT is: Books On My Fall TBR List. These are always my favorite TTT topics because I love making TBR lists. Do I love following them once I make them though? No, of course not. You know I’m terrible at TBRs. I seriously love being organized and making lists of all kinds, so it’s no surprise that I still enjoy making these lists. Without further ado, here are the books I sincerely hope I can read this fall!

Library Books

Little Black Dresses, Little White Lies The Thousandth Floor (The Thousandth Floor, #1)

Little Black Dresses, Little White Lies by Laura Stampler ///  I was intrigued by this little rom-com book when I first caught it on Goodreads, so I immediately requested it from the library. I was going to read it after The Hating Game but didn’t want to do two workplace comedies in a row.

The Thousandth Floor by Katharine McGee /// This is another one that’s been on my radar for a super long time. I was going to preorder it but decided to just to the library thing first. I’ve seen mixed reviews but I really think I’ll personally enjoy it. Can’t wait to finally dive in!

Empire of Storms (Throne of Glass, #5) The Choices We Make

Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas /// I’m currently working on QoS so it’s a no-brainer I’ll get to EoS as soon as possible this season. I’m reading and listening to the audio (which I’ve done for a few of the others in the series) but think EoS will be strictly read on paper. I cancelled Audible and don’t feel like buying it there.

The Choices We Make by Karma Brown /// I loved Karma Brown’s debut so incredibly much, so I requested her second from the library. I know I’ll want to own it at some point but I like utilizing the library to save money at first. Plus, it opens up my wishlists for Secret Sister and Christmas!

ARC Catch-Up

Last Seen Leaving Heartless

Last Seen Leaving by Caleb Roehrig /// I still have this one hanging around and it releases very soon. I’ve been craving a good mystery/thriller lately and think the boy POV may be fun! I hope it’s as good as some people are saying it is already. Seems like a creepy falltime read to me!

Heartless by Marissa Meyer /// Honestly I still can’t believe I haven’t touched this yet. I’ve seen somewhat mixed reviews on this one from people who loved The Lunar Chronicles, but I have faith! I think it’ll be different, from what I’ve seen, so I’m already mentally preparing for that. Hope that helps!

Books I Own or Borrowed

The Forgetting Loop (Loop #1)

The Forgetting by Sharon Cameron /// After I saw a few people raving about this one, Wendy sent hers over for me to borrow. It sounds like the kind of book I’d add to my TBR and never read because it’s somewhat out of my norm. That won’t be the case here! Time to break out of my usual habits.

Loop by Karen Akins /// Andi, book pusher extraordinaire, loves this duo and I’ve owned both books for like a year now. I think I’ve been missing the time travel books I love so much and would love to bang these two out. The challenge I’m sucking most at this year is the Rock My TBR challenge because I never read books I own. This little mini duo binge will help!

A Week of Mondays The Goal (Off-Campus, #4)

A Week of Mondays by Jessica Brody /// I bought this one when my sister and I went to the B&N Harry Potter events at midnight. I love the sound of this story and it reminds me of so many other books and movies I love. The reviews have been positive too, but the size of the book (for a contemp!) is daunting.

The Goal by Elle Kennedy /// EEEEEKKKADSHGGFL. This book is FINALLY out, as of yesterday. My preorder was delivered to my Kindle. I’m finishing up another NA ebook so this one will be started IMMEDIATELY after I finish (probably today, if I didn’t already finish yesterday after drafting this post). YAY!

  1. Love your list! I dug into my copy of The Goal last night and can’t wait to go back to it once work is done for the day. I’m very interested in The Choices We Make and Little Black Dresses, Little White Lies so if you read them first, I will look forward to your reviews.

    Happy reading!

  2. I have expectations for Heartless too, but I’m not sure how I’ll feel about it as well! Especially since I’ve been seeing mixed things about it from people that liked The Lunar Chronicles. But oh well! Guess we’ll see for ourselves right?

  3. I am really intrigued by The Forgetting because it sounds like nothing I’ve read before! I really want to pick it up from the library and see what I think. And the mixed reviews of the Thousandth Floor have really put me off reading it. While I enjoyed watching Gossip Girl, I think in a book it might just be too dramatic for me!

  4. The Goal is so wonderful, Lauren. I read it this week and absolutely loved it! I’ve also read The Thousandth Floor (and I found it fascinating), Loop (which was so mind-boggling in a good way), The Choices We Make (so, so, so, so good) and Empire of Storms (which I loved). I hope you enjoy all of these books when you get around to them <3

And I'm excited for Heartless! I haven't yet read it, but I certainly plan on doing that soon because it's out so soon!
