My monthly TBR feature here shows my progress based on last month’s TBR, my plans for this month, and anything else I might be thinking about from a reading perspective. Sometimes I feature a little poll at the bottom so you guys can help me figure out a certain title I should read from a group of books.
February TBR
I definitely did a good job with reading in January despite the huge ONYX STORM taking over the final two weeks of the month. There are a few holdovers as usual. Hopefully I’ll get some good reading done this month despite it being shorter and me being in Disney at the end of it.
Review Copies
I was going to read YIN YANG LOVE SONG in January but my balance of reading romance vs. fantasy vs. mystery across Kindle vs. audiobook vs. physical just didn’t align. This will be my first Kindle book of February and I’ll most likely have already started it. INTO THE WOODS and CAUGHT UP IN YOU are both upcoming releases I have review copies for. I’m also including the next FINLAY DONOVAN book because I got an audiobook review copy that I have a feeling I’ll get to before early March.
Upcoming Releases
I read all three “anticipated January releases” featured here last month so please lets cross our fingers this three books have the same fate! I preordered the latter two above and will probably try to preorder the first one because the B&N preorder sale should hopefully happen soon. Anyways! THE MEADOWBROOK MURDERS is the next YA mystery from Jessica Goodman – I always enjoy her books though they never blow me away. This one has a premise right up my alley so maybe this will be my first five star from her? The next (final??) EMILY WILDE book comes out in early February so I will absolutely be starting it when it arrives. And finally, I know I’ll need to be in the mood for UNDER THE SAME STARS because it’s a historical fiction book… but it’s also Libba Bray so…
Owned and/or Recent Books
The new Crowns of Nyaxia book came out in November and for some reason I didn’t get to it right away. I even started it a few days before ONYX STORM came out and had to pause it. BEAUTIFUL UGLY came out last month but I got the copy in BOTM in December, so I need to get to it soon. KILLING COLD has been swapped in for the other mystery I had here last month but we’ll see if I get to it.
Mystery/Thriller Book Club
We picked THE FIVE YEAR LIE for February’s book club so I’m excited to finally get to this book! I wanted to read it for a while and it’s been on my radar, especially for Sarina Bowen’s first mystery. Most of my friends love her romances but I haven’t read them.
