BL headerThe Bookmark Lit Bulletin was created to wrap up each month and prepare for the next. I share my book haul, books I read and reviewed, posts I shared, challenge updates, and more from the previous month. I also let you know what may be coming up on the blog in the coming month. You can read past bulletins here. I recently split out my personal posts into the Lauren Lately feature, so this is a bit shorter!

looking backreading lifeWeeee finally! I had an odd reading month but it definitely worked out in the end. I would do a lot of binge reading (seriously, there are at least 3-5 books that I sat down and read from cover to cover in one day), and then not pick anything up for a couple of days. I had 2 books from last month hanging around that I finished quickly at the beginning of this month. It was nice to get ahead on my challenge again. I’m 2 books ahead on Goodreads, I believe. It’s hard to read when I’m home in CT because I get so booked up, but I’m finding the time right now to get through one library book before I leave.

Top Blog Posts Coming Up

Issues with Challenges/Readathons/TBRs | Discussing why I still sign up for challenges and other readathons even though I’m terrible about them most of the time. Same goes for my TBR posts. (This was supposed to be up in October but it’s now happening on Friday.)

Gimme the Books! and On My List | I started these two features a while back and haven’t gotten around to them as much as I hoped. I’m putting together one of each for November, since I’ve recently added all kinds of movies and books to my lists! GTB features recently announced books I can’t wait for. OML includes random media items I’ve added to my watch, read, and listen lists.

Favorite Documentaries | I’ve been trying to feature posts about movies and TV, since those are big parts of my daily life. I compiled a short recommendation list for people who enjoy the occasional documentary.

Whose Books am I Reading? | Inspired by a chat with Cristina, I made this post to analyze exactly where I’m getting the books I’m reading. I honestly don’t buy books anymore so she was asking me where I get the books I read. Of course this sparked a huge analysis because I wanted to find out the answer. It was a fun post to put together, so many thanks to her for asking the question!
