The Bookmark Lit Bulletin was created to wrap up each month and prepare for the next. I share my book haul, books I read and reviewed, posts I shared, challenge updates, and more from the previous month. I also let you know what may be coming up on the blog in the coming month. You can read past bulletins here. I recently split out my personal posts into the Lauren Lately feature, so this is a bit shorter!
As usual I wish I could go back in time to the holiday season again! ? I read so many cute holiday books and novellas in December that I would have loved to continue into January. They’re so easy and cozy to read. Anyways, I easily met my goal with plenty of time to spare and stopped myself when I hit exactly 150 books for my goal. I don’t like going over unless it’s to a rounder number, like 155 or 160. I feel weird about reading like 151 or 152 books, which are numbers I was likely to hit. So, it was nice to have some wiggle room to fill out the end of year surveys early!

Top Blog Posts Coming Up
101 in 1001 | I’m doing the Day Zero Project, which includes coming up with 101 goals to complete in 1001 days. I’ll be sharing my list on the blog and updating yearly throughout the project.
Failures and Lessons of 2017 | Reflecting on the previous year continues! I wanted to think about some of the issues (and successes) I had while reading and blogging this past year.
2018 Planners | I’ve talked about it quite a bit so far, but I’ll be doing a deeper dive into my new planner life for this year. I am super excited to get going on both of them!
If We Were Having Coffee | I always enjoy when other bloggers post these, so I’ll be taking part for one of my sadder months of the year (I miss Christmas!!).
Seasonal Book Club | I did a post a long time ago about some books I’d pick if I had a “seasonal” book club, where the members pick books to match each month or season. I drew up another one of these with some updated selections!
Low-Rated Books I Loved | I saw this post in a few places (you can check the post when it comes for the credit because I don’t remember!) and decided to do the same roundup. Low-rated books on Goodreads that I actually really liked!
Top Books on the TBR
Check out my January TBR post! ?
Look forward to all your posts in the new year. You rocked your challenges and read so many Christmas books. I return to regular reading on January 1st because Christmas books don’t usually count for challenges, but I’m always ready to come back to them come November, December time. They are just so light and fluffy. They are easy reads and really let you escape from life.
Thank you <333
I love looking at bookish grafts. I also love seeing 50 of your books were from the library. 🙂 hehe I will have to check out Crazy Little Things Called Love. I love reading “If We Were Having Coffee” posts so I look forward to yours and your planner post! I am trying Bullet Journaling this year. I like it and enjoy that really you can do whatever you want. Happy New Year!
Library ebooks have definitely been a big part of that too!
You had such a balanced reading year, I love it! and wow, so much contemporary romance!! I beat that challenge and flights of fantasy as well but I read almost equally between the two genres. Good for you for Rock My TBR!! I didn’t come close haha. What a fun TBTBSanta package!! Love that card. I miss Christmas and the holidays tooooo. I’m going to keep my tree for a little while longer 😉
Our tree is definitely staying up until the weekend I’m thinking! haha. I always kill it for contemporary but I neeeed more variety this year.
Everyone has been raving about Foolish Hearts recently so I think I’m going to check it out. And I had no idea that Sophie Kinsella was releasing something new so soon; I have kinda fallen behind on her newer books but I’ll have to check it out.
I’m so excited for it!
I LOVE your stats breakdown! So clear on how your year was spent. I can’t wait to see more of what 2018 brings for you and your blog.
Thank you! 🙂
Foolish Heart was one of my favorite books last year so I hope you love it. Im jealousof all the books you read. I didnt even read 100 last year but Im hoping this year is different. That is a fucking cool graphic!
Happy 2018!
I LOVEDDDD IT. Read it the first day of the year!
YES I AM ANXIOUSLY AWAITING YOUR PLANNER POST
