BL headerThe Bookmark Lit Bulletin wraps up the last month in reading and what was on the blog, as well as what’s coming up next. You can check out my book haul, books read, posts shared, challenge updates, etc. You can read past bulletins here. If you’re looking for more personal updates, you can check out my Lauren Lately feature; it highlights my life events and non-bookish fun from the previous 30 days.

I don’t like to post these before the end of the month because I’m always afraid I’ll read/finish more books in between, but I know that won’t be the case here! Since we’re moving TOMORROW (holy crap), I knew I wouldn’t be reading today and tomorrow, most likely. If I do find a few minutes to read, I’m sure I won’t be finishing anything. In any case! June was a buuuuusy month but I still found myself reading in my spare time before bed or in the evening. We traveled to California, which involved me reading half of one book on the first flight and then binge-watching shows instead for the rest. I finished with two books this week though so I got back on track for the GR goal, thanks to reading a lot in May.1

My recent personal / life update found in the last Lauren Lately HERE.

June’s goal: None
July’s goal: Finish two audiobooks

I decided to skip a goal for June because I knew I wouldn’t have the brain power to pull one off! Even though we’re heading home tomorrow and July will be a BIT busy (moving things around, bachelorette, Jack & Jill, and bridesmaid dress shopping), I know I’ll have time to work on this one. I do love audiobooks SO much and it’s been a while since I’ve been able to genuinely give them time. I really want to be back on the path of having one going at all times, so I can spend less time reading physical books and still meet my goals. There will be quite a bit of driving again due to moving home, commuting into the office every day again, and other travels across the month. I should EASILY get two audiobooks done in July.

Midyear updates: I like to do a quick update post with all of my challenges, goals, and reading statistics each year. This gives me motivation to make some of my goals happen and knock my reading out of the park for the remainder of the year. I split it into two posts this year (next week) because I want to also make some TBR lists for my challenges.

Midyear update takeaways: I noticed some fun/weird/random trends when looking over my stats from this time last year vs. this year, so there will be another post that talks about some of those things!

Books from Jan-June I still need to read: I always get excited about new books and then forget to read them. This is a post to remind myself (and you!) of some of the first-half-of-the-year releases that you may have missed like I did.

Blogiversary: I’m going to be hitting four years of blogging in the middle of the month, so I’ll probably go ahead with some kind of post and giveaway. I don’t have a lot of plans for this as of right now so we’ll see.

Summer reading post?: I like to talk about seasonal reading habits and I’ve already done my summery TBR, but I still think I have a summer reading-related post in me. It might be something about places I like to read in the summer (similar to this one but obviously a bit different!).

Check out my July TBR post! ?

How was your June?

I’m glad you loved The Similars! I recently got a copy for review and I can’t wait to check it out. It sounds awesome. I’m also excited for Lauren Oliver’s new book. I’ll be looking forward to your thoughts on it.
