The Bookmark Lit Bulletin wraps up the last month in reading and what was on the blog, as well as what’s coming up next. You can check out my book haul, books read, posts shared, challenge updates, etc. You can read past bulletins here. If you’re looking for more personal updates, you can check out my Lauren Lately feature; it highlights my life events and non-bookish fun from the previous 30 days.
I was DETERMINED to finish my reading challenges for the year in November, with the exception of the Netgalley/Edelweiss Challenge (I just didn’t see it working, especially when I kept requesting books and making my percentage go down instead of up, even though I have been reading for it!). Because of this, I read a lot of books “out of my comfort zone” that were in line with my two challenges. It was a weird month but I’m glad I pulled through and did it all! I’m officially caught up because I read 11 books this month, meaning I just need the final 10 to finish off the year.

November’s goal: Work on challenges to finish the year strong ✔️
December’s goals: Meet my Goodreads goal and read 5+ Christmas books
I didn’t finish ALL of my challenges, but I finished the two most “regimented” challenges that I wanted to finish. I read books to complete the Popsugar challenge and the Modern Mrs. Darcy challenge, but will likely come close to finishing the Netgalley/EW Challenge next month. I read four books for Popsugar and had a bit of overlap with MMD, but had two to finish there. My goal was to work on challenges to finish the year strong and I definitely did succeed in that!
December has two goals – one of them is quite obvious. I want to meet my Goodreads challenge. Secondly, I want to read at least five holiday books. I have a LENGTHY TBR for December’s holiday reading, so I don’t think this will be a challenge. I’ll need to read 10 books to finish off my challenge and half of them being Christmassy sounds perfect and easy.
EOY Surveys and Wrap-up Posts | My favorite months of the blogging year are upon us! I’m a huge fan of yearly surveys, wrap-ups, and statistics. I go crazy with all of them throughout December (and enjoy the “new 2019 planning” posts that happen through January too).
Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses Read-a-long | I’m working with Forever Romance to have a read-a-long for one of my favorite Jenny Hale Christmas books! The kick-off post is December 3rd and you’ve probably seen me hype it up all of the last week on social media too. Keep an eye out and join in!
Truly Devious Paperback Celebration | The release of TRULY DEVIOUS in paperback is coming and I was asked to drum up some interest in the book! You’ll see this post on Tuesday, in time for the release.
New Cover Love | I did a quick round-up of some recent books added to my Cover Love shelf, as well as a brief discussion about some cover trends I’ve been loving lately.
Five Star Predictions | Like I did for this year, I’ll be sharing a round-up of books I predict I’ll rate five stars. I had pretty decent luck with this based on my favorite authors so we’ll see how I fare this year.
Christmas Reviews and Holiday Posts | SO MANY HOLIDAY THINGS! Book reviews, movie reviews, holiday decorations and highlights from my home, and more. The usual festive December over here!
2019 Resolutions and Challenges | I think this will happen next month, but could get bumped to early January. I like to pick out my bookish, blog-related, and personal resolutions each year and combine them in a post with challenge sign-ups for the year.
Check out my December TBR post! ?
